Carly received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Studies from Ithaca College. She works at both our Manhattan and Brooklyn offices.
I’m a huge foodie and an even bigger supporter of relaxing and spending time with family and friends on the weekends. If I’m not with family or eating, you’ll probably find me reading a sci-fi novel or watching stand-up comedy.
What do you love about being an OT?
“What makes me so incredibly passionate about working in occupational therapy is being able to observe improvements in a child’s behavioral, physical, or emotional well-being and then also seeing them sad about leaving the session as they are having too much fun. Work and play are so seamlessly intertwined and it is so amazing to see when children’s successes are directly linked with them having fun. The ability to elevate a child’s performance in any area is incredibly rewarding and I love working extremely hard to enhance every child’s outcome by targeting their individual likes and needs during each and every session to keep them motivated and engaged.”
