Louissa received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Louissa’s pediatric experience is from working in a sensory integration clinic with children ages 18 months – 8 years old. She has worked with children on the spectrum (e.g., Autism (ASD), Attention Hyper Deficit Disorder (ADHD)) developing and implementing strategies to promote self-regulation and social skills. She works on Saturday’s at SPOTS Manhattan and as a full time occupational therapist at a rehabilitation facility in New Jersey.
During her free time, Louissa enjoys being a yogi and being a part of my local yoga studio. I also truly enjoy spending a lot of my time hiking with my dog, Hunter.
What do you like about being an OT?
“Having completed my undergraduate studies in psychology, I am passionate about understanding the complexities of the human mind and how it plays a role in ones behavior. Through working with children, I found an admiration and passion in promoting their growth and development through play–based activities.”
