Education

The Fieldwork experience at SPOTS is comprehensive, challenging, dynamic and rewarding. Students are assigned one or two primary supervisors, but will be expected to work directly with therapists other than the primary supervisor to complete a full caseload.

Fieldwork

Purpose of Fieldwork:

Fieldwork (FW) education is a crucial part of professional preparation. Fieldwork experiences should provide the student with the opportunity to carry out professional responsibilities under supervision of a qualified occupational therapy practitioner (Acote 2011).

Volunteers

f you are interested in volunteering at SPOTS, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Michele Amoroso MS, OTR/L at michele.a@spotsot.com. Volunteers are interviewed throughout the year. Those chosen as part of our volunteer program are placed in specific areas of the practice and assigned roles with a supervisor.
